The week of Halloween

I am so excited. My mom is arriving tomorrow. I can't wait to show her where I live. Kris' cousin and uncle have visited us at our home, so Mom will be our second family visitor and the first to stay with us overnight. :)

I really should be off getting the floors mopped and vaccummed, but I will give a quick update for this week.

Nathaniel started an afterschool science club. It goes for around a month, and he is really enjoying it!

TaLisa was at High Trails with her class last week. We missed her, but she had a great time! It snowed while she was up there. I am so thankful for the brand new boots I found at Goodwill before she left! :) We are still waiting to hear if she was re qualified for her IEP. She also has been making huge bounds in her cello playing! She will do a rehearsal with the whole group on Friday and Saturday to decide if she is ready to join them for a concert next weekend! Her teacher has been the biggest blessing to me! She is wonderful, positive, and she has really helped TaLisa to improve tremendously in a short amount of time. Without any prodding from me, TaLisa put in over 18 hours of practice this month!

ShaeLynn will have a piece of her art exhibited at a church this weekend for a well drilling fund raiser they are doing! I am so proud of her! I am also looking forward to having that piece of art back to hang on the wall in my bedroom. :) She has been making huge advances in school work too. She is already over 50% done with pre algebra!

Robbie has been struggling with the desire to go to school, but he keeps pushing on. It is tough to spend some much time doing stuff he really dislikes.

We were invited over by our neighbors on Wednesday. So we hung out with a group of them in front of the fire pit while the neighborhood kids came by to trick or treat. It was really fun! I am thankful for the great people who live around us!

Another highlight of this week was hiking through Red Rock Canyon with another mom. She is my hiking partner. :) She finds great trails for us to hike on, and we have some great conversations together! I am so thankful for the friendship we have! It was so beautiful! I want to go there again!

Well, I guess it is back to work.
