Yesterday we left for Guanajuato, Mexico. The kids were so excited. Our flight left from Chicago O'Hare, and as soon as we arrived we were met with a little taste of Mexico. There was a live Mariachi band playing in the lobby of the airport complete with matching costumes and instruments.
We made it through security checks and our plane was on time. I was Nathaniel's seat partner, and he was really excited to fly. It was his first time. He thought he would be nervous at take off but actually really enjoyed himself. Of course as soon as we were seated in the airplane he thought he needed to eat his snacks. :)
Our flight landed in Monterrey where we had to get off and go through immigrations. I have never done immigrations and customs at two different airports. Monterrey looked beautiful from the airport.
It was another hour flight into Leon. When we got off the plane we were amazed at how beautiful the airport was...marble floors and glass walkways. All the luggage arrived, and I am so thankful for that!
