Medieval Times

Last Wednesday I went with Robbie and his class (over 300) kids to Medieval Times. They have been studying ancient history all year! It really has been fascinating, and I have learned so much just studying with him. It amazes me that I don't even remember studying that as a kid in school myself. Anyways, the assignment was you either make a costume and wear it on the field trip, or you do a research paper. Of course, most of the kids decided it was a better deal to wear the costumes, and they really looked good! We went on coach buses, air conditioned, bathroom, and movie screens. The bathrooms were a real hit with the kids exchanging the opportunities to lock each other in them! Medieval times was a WONDERFUL place for boys! I think we have discovered Robbie's future career...working at Medieval Times sword fighting. (He and Nathaniel do this at least weekly in our backyard with sticks!) The meal was delicious...and with no utensils. :) The ride home was miserable! The kids were so rowdy, and the kid behind us really needed to do some shopping for deoderant! But all in all, it was a great field time, and I am glad I got to go!
