We spent the last few days taking a trip to Puebla to visit an orphange. The organization that runs Esperanza Viva is very organized and used to dealing with teams. We wanted to look at this opportunity to possible partner with them for future Catalyst teams.
All the children at this orphanage are kids who have been rejected by other orphanages. They are the homeless street kids. It is really amazing to see how love can change them!
Nathaniel joined a basketball game that was going on. :)
TaLisa made friends with this little girl! She wanted to bring her home with us. The kids are offered tremendous opportunities to change their lives. There are music opportunities, computer skills opportunities, all kinds of things offered to them that would not be possible without being at Esperanza Viva.
There are child sponsorship opportunities for these children, and that really makes a huge difference in their lives! There are a portion of the children who have no idea who their parents are or anything about their families. Sponsors give them a sense of being loved and special. They get soooo excited when their sponsors come to visit!!!
This little girl is about two years old. She came right to me and crawled into my lap and into my heart. I wanted to take her home with me! They crave attention and love like all children. Pray that God will open the doors for a future partnership and team to Esperanza Viva (Living Hope).
