On Monday November 3rd, we received the shocking news that one of our missionary coworkers, Scott Martin, had been killed in a motorcycle accident Sunday evening. It is so shocking to have someone taken like that from your life! We know where He is, and there is no way we would wish him back here. But we are also so very sad for his three children, his wife, and the people he ministered to in Milwaukee.
Then we had the election on November 4th with the troubling news of seeing people vote in a very immoral man. I was feeling a little down about the outlook of our nation under this man's control.
On Thursday I had a very hard test in Medical Terminology and then went to Scott's funeral, so by Thursday afternoon, I was feeling just wiped out. It was a rainy Thursday, heaven's tears for Scott's friends and family still here on earth! But as the sun was setting God sent us the most gorgeous double rainbow! It was like God was saying to me that I didn't need to be sad about all these things. He is still in control, and He is the Savior of the oppressed.
