A Day Trip to DC

We spent a day with my parents in Washington DC. It was a nice time being together, and we were really glad for the chance to show the kids some of the things they have been learning about at school.
I loved all the colorful houses.

There was so much interesting architecture to look at!
At the Lincoln Memorial look out toward the Washington Memorial. It was a very windy day.

ShaeLynn was with Grandma, but we got some pretty good pictures of the others.

On our walk between the Lincoln and Washington Memorials TaLisa found a squirrel that was willing to take food right out of her hand.

At the World War II Memorial

This memorial was really powerful! Each of the stars is for someone who died in WWII paying the price for our freedom...Freedom is NOT free!

It was really bright, but I liked this picture!

Beautiful architecture inside Union Station

Union Station is one of the most beautiful public buildings I have ever been in.
