In the afternoon following Talisa's party, we had a tremendous storm come through! We probably shouldn't have, but we were all out of the front porch watching the terrific lightening show with loud and very loud claps of thunder. We went in when it started to pour. And it really did pour. We got more rain on Sunday after noon too. In those two days we had between 9-12 inches!
I have to admit I don't LOVE our house, and I was feeling a bit unhappy when our crawl space flooded and my poor hubby was out in the rain digging ditches to divert the water away from our house! But I know that God wants me to be thankful! I found out the next week that several of our neighbors and friends had a terrific amount of flooding in their basements! Several lost power for several hours which meant no sump pump! Thank you, God, that it was only our crawl space that flooded! And thank God for a husband who knows what to do to try to fix these things!
