On Thursday I got to participate in the birth of Jeremy Reid Holeman. Jeremy's mother, Rachel, is one of my friends from my highschool days! I have never been a part of a birth except to be on the other side in the births of my four children. It was an awful and also the most incredible experience of my life. It is awful to see someone you care about in so much pain and to be basically helpless to do anything about it. Rachel did such a good job! I couldn't believe that she even kept her sense of humor through the majority of the experience and didn't kick her husband (HP) when in the midst of contractions he suggested that they have a fifth child. (Jeremy is number four.) Seeing the baby being born was indescribable! He was 9 Lb and 22 inches, with long eye lashes and a good bit of hair. And he turned pink really quickly! Truly just incredible!

I'm so glad for you to be there for Rachel. I just met Jeremy last week. He is so cute and they all are so in love with him. Sweet!
