I have been waiting to update the blog till I have had more answers on our future direction. We are excited to announce that we have been accepted as staff by Faith Academy in the Philippines! Faith Academy is a mission school with about 500 students, whose parents represent over 50 different mission organizations and churches in the Philippines and throughout Asia. We are so excited to be able to partner with these families through our involvement at the school. Kris will be serving as the Director of Technology and will be taking care of six servers and 270 computers, with the help of two Filipino coworkers.

I don't plant to come committed to anything initially as I would like to be available to help our children adjust to a new country, new school, and new friends. But I am hopeful that I will be able to get involved in ministry to missionary kids (MKs) and/or ministry in the community teaching natural health and hygiene. We are excited to serve in a place where we can use our different gifts and abilities and also have our children's educational needs met.

Faith Academy starts their 2010-2011 school year in August. It is our desire to there in August for Kris to learn his new roles, and for our children to start the school year. We do know that God will have to move some mountains for us to see it all come together by then, but we are going to step out in faith and see what He will do.

In light of this goal of heading overseas by August, we will be traveling across the country to share about this next step and to find the prayer and financial partners that God has prepared for this ministry. We are currently at 40% of our recommended support level for going to the Philippines. We have meetings scheduled out west and in PA, but we are also planning to meet with people here in Wisconsin and in Missouri.
