Two New Adventures

This week we started two new adventures. The first one was going to be a simple painting project in our bedroom. We were going to tear off the wall paper and paint the wall and the paneling below it. What really happened is that when we tore off the wall paper we realized the people who owned the house before us had used the wall as a dart board. There were literally thousands of holes in the wall. Then Kris decided to take off the paneling. Under it was barn board, and under that was the concrete wall. Kris ended up cutting out the worst part of the drywall with holes in it, and then he hung new dry wall on that part and on the concrete wall. Then we mudded, sanded, primed, textures, and today I painted the all. It looks so much better. We still need to fix the little closet and put on molding, but I am excited with our new look. It makes me want to take the rest of the paneling off the other walls in the room. Kris was also able to put some cables behind the wall where they belong. Before they were just hanging on the outside of the wall.

The second adventure is that Kris headed off for Nicaragua this morning. He will be flying to Nashville today and meeting the team there. Then they will leave tomorrow morning for Managua, Nicaragua. They will be working at an orphanage there. Kris will be taking a lot of video and photography that he will use to create promotional materials when he gets home. Please pray for safety for the team and unity and open hearts for what the Lord wants to teach them.
