We made it home about 10 pm on Wednesday night. It was quite the trip! We stopped on Monday night with Melissa in Salt Lake City. She took us for a picnic supper up in the mountains! It was wonderful! We even got to put on jeans to stay warm after the sun went down. The kids really enjoyed roasting their own hotdogs over the fire.
The next day we drove to North Platte, NE. The kids did pretty good. On Wednesday we drove from North Platte to home, Wisconsin. It was a really long day. The kids were not so good as we were not able to let them out to run around at lunch and stops. The whole day we drove through rain and hail! Sometimes we got out in front of the storm, but it would catch up with us each time we stopped, so we tried to keep pushing on hard most of the day. Thanks to each who prayed for our safety in traveling.
We have gotten home to a VERY GREEN yard and a VERY WET crawl space. The news says we have gotten over 13 inches of rain this month, making it the wettest one on record!
We went to school registration on Thursday, and next Wednesday is open house. If you think of us pray that the kids will adjust to and enjoy their new teachers this year. I know they are all a little apprehensive.
